Diversity in Science:
Lily Adams

Lily Adams is a graduate researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Working with mentors in the School of Epidemiology and the School of Medicine, she is investigating coronavirus genetics and pathogenesis.

Lily is originally from a small town in upstate New York where she spent her days exploring the outdoors and her nights watching Jurassic Park. She attributes a lot of her passion for science to those original movies and the support she had in school to explore her interests.

In her free time now, she likes to still explore the outdoors through running and hiking. She also likes to watch football (go Bills!), read, and paint.
